Posted June 24, 2015: Session 1 - Corporate and Community Responsibility for Intentional Recruitment and Hiring, Wednesday, July 22, 9:00 a.m.-Noon: Identify the current state of and contributing factors to African-American male unemployment. Discuss experiences of African American men in the hiring and employment process. Examine whether men of color are "workforce ready," and more. Session 2 - Developing Your Action Plan for Intentional Recruitment and Hiring, Wednesday, July 29, 9:00 a.m.-Noon: Learn from your organization's profile for men of color, brainstorm how to increase the recruitment/hire/retention of men of color from the perspective of employers, workforce development agencies, community organizations, faith based organizations. Share creative sourcing strategies for development of diverse applicant pools, action plan development, and more.
